Civil War USA revolver manufactured by S. Colt, 1886.
This revolver Army Model 1860 was a muzzle-loaded cap & ball .44-caliber revolver used during the American Civil War. It was favoured as a side arm by cavalry, infantry, and artillery troops.
The revolver 1860 Army uses the same size frame as the .36 caliber 1851 Navy revolver. The frame is relieved to allow the use of a rebated cylinder that enables the Army to be chambered in .44 caliber. Also, the barrel on the 1860 Army has a forcing cone that is visibly shorter than that of the 1851 Navy, allowing the Army revolver to have a longer cylinder. A major distinguishing feature introduced with the 1860 revolver was the "creeping" loading lever. This arrangement employs a cam interface between lever and barrel and ideally, prevents the lever from dropping and tying up the revolver if it should recoil loose from the barrel catch during firing.
The item is a movie prop replica. It is designed to resemble in shape, size, weight and basic functionality the firearm it represents. It has basic working parts and/or removable parts and is a genuine Europe made item. The replica comes in its factory card box. Whilst this replica can be cocked and ‘dry fired’, it cannot fire, nor can it be altered to fire live rounds. These are intended for static display and are not to be used outside of your private residence. Frequent use and/or rough play may result in damage to the item.

Purchased this to go with my 1851 colt. Saw the Clint Eastwood tag and in the films I have seen him use a gun like this, to reload the barrel dropped down to release the empty cartridge chambers to be replaced by a full one taken from a pouch on his gun belt. Was disappointed that on this 1860 replica lever action was same as on my 1851 operating the compression pad. This was my fault should have made better inquiries. I like the contrast of the brass effect to the black steel, also the wooden hand grip as on the 1851 it is just brown plastic. The 1851 can be easily dismantled for cleaning and oiling but so far have been unable to do the same on the 1860. Have added dummy ammunition I think looks better next dummy percussion caps. Overall a nice looking replica and good value for the price with great service from The Sword Stall.
.
This a great replica and is a good comparison to my 1851 model. I like the contrast between the brass effect and the black steel. Also the hand grip is wood not brown plastic as on my 1851. Both look better I think with dummy ammunition next is dummy percussion caps.
When I saw the Clint Eastwood tag I thought it was the type he used in the films where the barrel dropped down to release the used cartridge chamber to be replaced by a full one from a pouch on his gun belt. Was disappointed to find it has the same action as my 1851 the lever operates the compression pad. This is my own fault should have made more enquiries. Also my 1851 comes apart to release cartridge chamber for cleaning etc. This one appears to be permanently assembled. Still a great buy at the price.
Amazing and quick customer service, product came quickly in great condition, I absolutely love the quality and I definitely will be coming back to sword stall for more!
The Colt 1860 by Denix, this is a great collectable piece, the quality is very good with a good weight and realistic feel.
And I can highly recommend the Sword Stall as the purchase went very smoothly with a quick delivery. I will definitely use them again. Thank you.
The M1860 Colt Army looks amazing. I am a big fan of the Clint Eastwood western films and its great having something so iconic displayed in my man shed/bar.

Very happy with the look and feel of the piece, good service.
Wasn't happy with the quality of the gun, pity as i was looking to get a lot more however that will be my last purchase and i will be looking to find a different manufacturer. The barrel spun and could only be held in place if you shoved the hammer forward with your thum, the handle grip moved and did not feel flush with the pistol as there were lips in a few places so quality control not their strong point.
