What is a greatsword?
A two-handed sword too large to be a sidearm. The medieval and Renaissance greatsword (zweihänder in German, spadone in Italian, montante in Spanish) ran to 150 to 180cm and 2 to 3.5kg, with a long grip, a wide cross guard, and often a leather-wrapped ricasso and a second pair of parrying hooks partway up the blade so it could be shortened in the hand. It was a specialist infantry weapon, not a knight's sword: the men who carried it were paid double for it. The Scottish two-handed claymore is the same class of weapon.
In games the word has become a weapon class rather than a historical type, and the games' greatswords are bigger, broader and heavier than anything a human ever carried. Our replicas are built to the game proportions, which is why several are over 140cm.

FromSoftware's signature weapon has appeared in almost every game the studio has made since King's Field. Dark Souls greatswords
Greatsword of Artorias. The Abysswalker's sword, in three sizes: the 140cm Deluxe Edition, the V2 full-size replica and a 108cm display version for smaller walls. Slave Knight Gael's Greatsword. The battered executioner's blade from the end of Dark Souls III, and the biggest sword in that game.
Elden Ring's Claymore

Berserk's Dragonslayer
Guts' Dragonslayer is the sword every anime greatsword is measured against: "too big to be called a sword". Our full-metal version is 150cm and twelve kilograms, in stainless steel with the dual-tone finish and a leather wrap, and it needs a wall bracket rather than a stand. Hand-forged historical greatswords
Cold Steel Zwei-Hander Two Handed Great Sword. The Landsknecht sword: a long carbon steel blade with parrying hooks, a leather-wrapped ricasso and a wide guard. The most historically complete two-hander in the collection.
Cold Steel Great Sword. A large two-handed sword of the late medieval type, without the zweihänder's hooks: the bridge between the longsword and the true greatsword.
