Description

Replica of the long serving 'Brown Bess' rifle used widely by both British and, at one stage, US forces. This variant was in use between 1799 and 1815, ie into the period of the Napoleonic Wars.

The item is a movie prop replica. It is designed to resemble in shape, size, weight and basic functionality the firearm it represents. It has basic working parts and/or removable parts and is a genuine Europe made item. The replica comes in its factory card box. Whilst this replica can be cocked and ‘dry fired’, it cannot fire, nor can it be altered to fire live rounds. These are intended for static display and are not to be used outside of your private residence. Frequent use and/or rough play may result in damage to the item.

This model DOES NOT count as a Real Imitation Firearm and as such can be purchased by any person over the age of 18 in the UK. Proof of age will be requested prior to shipping for new customers. Very pleased with replica and does what I want as a comparison to my rebuilt Brown Bess to show what it originally looked like. Now that I have re polished the wood to give a deeper lustre and modified the bayonet to give more accurate fixing am well pleased It was a good buy at right price. Got a Lee Enfield SMLE Mk 111 coming and will order a Enfield Pattern 1853 musket in due course.
