Description

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE REPLICA GUNS AND ARE INCAPABLE OF FIRING. THESE ARE TO BE USED AS DECORATIVE ORNAMENTS ONLY

Reproduction of 6 barrels pepper-box revolver made of metal and wooden grips with firing mechanism and rotating gun.

The pepper-box revolver or simply pepperbox (also "pepper-pot", from its resemblance to the household pepper grinder) is a multiple-barrel repeating firearm that has three or more barrels grouped around a central axis.

It mostly appears in the form of a multi-shot handheld firearm. Pepperboxes exist in all ammunition systems: matchlock, wheellock, flintlock, percussion, pinfire, rimfire and centerfire.

The pepperbox was invented in the 1830s and was mainly aimed at the civilian market. Its employment spread rapidly and was popular in the United States from the 1830s until the Civil War.

Customer video review of 6 Cannon "Pepperbox" Revolver - London 1840 (Brass)

Although I already have the plain steel version, when I saw this fancy item on sale I thought, "Better get that too!" And I'm very glad that I did. Nice weight, real wood grips, and very well finished in brass and black. The double action mechanism works perfectly with the barrel rotating accurately into place with each squeeze of the trigger. Mighty fine thing.

Store owner replied: Now THAT is cool looking! If you have a spare minute, we’d really appreciate a quick Trustpilot review: 👉 https://www.trustpilot.com/review/theswordstall.co.uk

The casting and barrels are excellent quality, the action is not revolving (just clicks tries to turn then settles back) plus the wooden handle grips are not properly secure (2 srews would be better or a srew through with fastener on the other side wich will stay tight); it looks like it should rorate but us a one shot misfirer that could easily be knocked from ones hand.

Item was not delivered to me but to a different address apparently. My wife eventually spoke to the occupier who said they had not received it. When I sent a message about it your representative was very rude and told me to check all the neighbours, call the police and talk to my courier. I had checked with neighbours. I would not call the police as I had not lost anything and not sure they would be that interested if I reported that a parcel had not been delivered. Of course I could not contact my courier as I did not have on as it was you who employed them. I asked for a refund and he said he would not do that and wrote a rant about doorstep thieves which seemed to imply that I had stolen the item. He also added some rude comments about the police. I got a refund from pay pal and will never deal with your company again.

Store owner replied: Hi Nigel, There was no rudeness. Telling you no or not doing as you demand is not rudeness. Royal Mail have provided incredibly clear photo evidence of your next door neighbour receiving the parcel. Receiving a parcel that is not addressed to you is a crime. This was reported to the police as we promised it would be.
