Flower of Fiji features a hand-forged 1095 high-carbon steel blade, crafted using the intricate Soshu Kitae lamination technique.

Historically associated with the legendary Japanese swordsmith Masamune, Soshu Kitae uses multiple layers and combinations of steel to balance hardness, strength and resilience.

The blade also undergoes differential clay tempering, producing a harder cutting edge while maintaining greater toughness along the spine.

This process creates a genuine natural hamon (temper line), beautifully complementing the traditional no-bo-hi blade design.

🌸 Exquisite Traditional Detailing

The wooden tsuka (handle) features genuine stingray skin (samegawa) beneath traditional cotton handle wrapping (tsukamaki).

The hardwood saya (scabbard) is beautifully decorated with mother-of-pearl detailing and genuine buffalo horn fittings, complemented by an elegant black silk sageo.
