An Apollo 11 astronaut saluting on the Moon, flag in hand. A big step for your shelf.

In July 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the Lunar Module Eagle on the Moon while Michael Collins orbited in Columbia. Launched on a Saturn V from the John F. Kennedy Space Center, the mission met President Kennedy's goal of landing a man on the Moon before the end of the decade.

On the desolate lunar surface, the astronaut stands in his white space suit behind the mirrored visor of his helmet, raising his left arm in a salute while holding the US flag in his right hand, ready to plant it.
