"Nanashi" Hand Forged Katana In Clay Tempered 1095 HCS
Add a legendary blade to your collection with the "Nanashi" Hand Forged Katana In Clay Tempered 1095 HCS.
The name Nanashi translates to "Nameless" in Japanese, reflecting the mysterious, understated character of this exceptional sword.
Featuring a folded 1095 high-carbon steel blade, genuine stingray skin handle wrapping and traditional Japanese-inspired construction, Nanashi is a fantastic addition to any serious katana collection.
Nanashi features a hand-forged 1095 high-carbon steel blade, crafted through repeated heating, hammering and folding.
This traditional Japanese-inspired forging process creates a distinctive layered steel construction. Historically, folding was used to refine steel and distribute impurities, while today it remains a highly regarded technique among sword collectors.
The blade is then heat-treated and quenched using oil and water, completing an important stage of the forging process and developing the steel's hardness.
The result is a premium hand-forged blade that celebrates the heritage and artistry of Japanese sword-making.
The wooden tsuka (handle) is covered in genuine stingray skin (samegawa), providing the distinctive textured finish associated with traditional Japanese swords.
This is completed with traditional cotton handle wrapping (tsukamaki), creating the classic diamond-pattern appearance of a samurai katana.
These authentic materials complement the hand-forged blade, giving Nanashi an elegant and traditional appearance.
In Japanese, Nanashi means "Nameless" – a fitting name for a sword that lets its craftsmanship speak for itself.
With its folded 1095 high-carbon steel blade, traditional forging techniques and genuine stingray skin handle, Nanashi is an impressive tribute to the art of the Japanese katana.
A superb choice for collectors seeking a traditionally styled, hand-forged sword with understated elegance.
No name. No unnecessary extravagance. Just the spirit of the samurai.
Please note: This is a high-carbon steel collector's sword intended for responsible adult ownership.
