๐ Labyrinth โ Ello Worm 1:1 Scale Statue | Weta Workshop
"Don't go that way. Never go that way!"
In Jim Henson's Labyrinth, Sarah has 13 hours to solve the Labyrinth and get her baby brother back from the Goblin King. Exhausted and looking for the way in, she's greeted by a tiny, cheerful "Ello." He's a palm-sized worm with three tufts of blue hair, living by a hole in the wall, who offers her a cup of tea and shows her the Labyrinth isn't as straight as it looks.
This one's life-size (1:1), so he's exactly as small as he is in the film. He's polystone with synthetic faux-fur hair and his red scarf, digitally sculpted by Kim Beaton, sitting on a labyrinth base physically sculpted by Shaun Bolton.
Official Weta Workshop. Made by fans, for fans. ๐ฅ
Weta Workshop is the Oscar-winning New Zealand studio behind the creatures, weapons and armour of The Lord of the Rings. They didn't make Labyrinth (that was Jim Henson's team, back in 1986), but plenty of Weta's artists name it as the film that got them into the job. This officially licensed piece is their love letter to it.
