Information: The Harrier Jump Jet is a unique vertical and short take off and landing (V/STOL) aircraft that gained prominence for its ability to operate from small or improvised airstrips as well as aircraft carriers. First flown in the 1960s, the Harrier's innovative thrust vectoring nozzles allowed it to direct engine exhaust for vertical or short take offs and landings, eliminating the need for traditional runways. Its capability to hover and manoeuvre in tight spaces made it an exceptional close air support and ground attack platform.
