The Hanwei Viking Throwing Spearhead is inspired by the beautifully decorated weapons carried by Norse warriors during the Viking Age. Favoured for their versatility and reach, throwing spears were an essential part of a Viking's arsenal, combining practical battlefield effectiveness with the remarkable craftsmanship for which Scandinavian metalworkers became renowned.

This historically inspired reproduction showcases intricate Niello-style decoration, recreating the striking engraved patterns found on surviving Viking artefacts.

Traditionally, the Niello process involved rubbing a sulphur-based alloy containing silver into engraved designs before firing, leaving rich black decoration against polished metal. Hanwei faithfully recreates this effect using a permanent decorative process that delivers the same dramatic appearance while ensuring long-lasting durability.

Designed to fit a 1-inch diameter wooden shaft, this spearhead looks equally impressive displayed on its own or mounted for a truly authentic Viking presentation.
