Description
The Giant of the Highlands.
Nearly six feet of Scottish history.
A sword that commands attention.
The Hanwei Two-Handed Lowlander Sword is one of the most spectacular medieval reproductions ever created by Hanwei. Inspired by surviving 16th-century Scottish Lowland swords, this enormous two-handed weapon faithfully recreates a historic museum example, capturing the power, elegance and unmistakable character of Scotland's greatest battlefield swords.
Measuring an incredible 68.5 inches overall with a massive 48-inch blade, the Lowlander is the largest sword ever produced by Hanwei. Despite its impressive size, designer Paul Chen has achieved remarkable balance and proportion, creating a display piece that reflects both historical authenticity and exceptional craftsmanship.
Forged from 1566 high carbon steel, the blade is complemented by a traditional 21-inch leather-covered grip with an additional leather overbinding for an authentic period appearance. The distinctive ring guards, adorned with classic Scottish quatrefoil motifs, celebrate the weapon's Highland heritage and set it apart as one of the most iconic two-handed swords of the medieval period.
To complete the presentation, Hanwei includes a wall mount, allowing this magnificent sword to become the centrepiece of any collection.
