Description
Scotland's Legendary Greatsword.
The weapon of Highland warriors.
Forged for history.
Built to inspire.
The Hanwei Claymore is a magnificent recreation of one of Scotland's most iconic two-handed swords. Designed by Paul Chen and faithfully based on a surviving museum example, this impressive historical reproduction captures the elegance and authority of the great swords carried by Highland warriors during the late 15th and 16th centuries.
Forged from 1566 high carbon steel, the imposing 41-inch blade reflects the proportions and craftsmanship of the original, while the distinctive sloping quillons, terminating in traditional Scottish quatrefoils, immediately identify this as one of the most recognisable swords in medieval history.
The high-collared quillon block, complete with elegant langets following the blade fuller, showcases the exceptional historical detail for which Hanwei is renowned. A 14-inch leather-covered grip, finished with a classic globate pommel, provides the authentic appearance expected from a museum-quality reproduction.
Now discontinued, the Hanwei Claymore has become an increasingly sought-after piece among collectors of Scottish arms and historical European weaponry.
The pride of the Highlands.
A masterpiece of steel.
