For the first time in the UK, we're bringing you a genuinely hand-forged version of Yamato — the legendary katana wielded by Vergil throughout Devil May Cry.

Yamato isn't merely Vergil's weapon. It's part of his identity. Once wielded by his father, the legendary Dark Knight Sparda, the blade possesses the extraordinary ability to cut through dimensions themselves — opening portals, dividing worlds and even separating the human and demonic halves of a being.

Which makes knocking boxes over in the warehouse with it feel slightly underwhelming.

Our new edition takes that unmistakable design and gives it the treatment we've always felt Yamato deserved: a real hand-forged steel blade, rather than another purely decorative reproduction.

The long, elegant blade carries a beautifully visible hamon-style temper line, while the distinctive white tsuka wrap, gold detailing and dark fittings recreate Vergil's instantly recognisable aesthetic. The textured black saya keeps everything suitably restrained and sinister, finished with gold accents and a deep blue sageo that provides that little flash of colour synonymous with the character.

The result is something rather special: a proper sword collector's interpretation of one of gaming's most legendary katanas.
