Long before becoming a demon, he was Michikatsu Tsugikuni, a Demon Slayer and the twin brother of the legendary Yoriichi Tsugikuni. As Kokushibo, he becomes associated with Moon Breathing, an extraordinary sword style producing crescent-shaped attacks.
