Bleach - Ichigo Bankai Zangetsu Clay Tempered Hand Forged Katana

Add a legendary blade to your collection with the Bleach - Ichigo Bankai Zangetsu Clay Tempered Hand Forged Katana.

Some anime swords are impressive because of their size.

Others because of their decoration.

Ichigo Kurosaki's Bankai Zangetsu manages to be one of the most iconic swords in anime history by being almost entirely black.

And we absolutely love it.

When Ichigo first unleashes his Bankai in Bleach, it's not the enormous, overwhelming weapon everyone expects. Instead, his gigantic Shikai transforms into something altogether more sinister — a sleek, black katana that concentrates his extraordinary spiritual power into a weapon built around speed and precision.

The result is Tensa Zangetsu, a sword that has become inseparable from Ichigo himself.

And for this premium edition, we've given it the treatment it deserves.

Genuine hand-forged steel. Traditional clay tempering. A real natural hamon.

Because even a sword powered by ridiculous amounts of spiritual energy deserves some proper craftsmanship.

Unlike the countless basic decorative Zangetsu replicas available, this premium version features a genuine hand-forged, clay-tempered steel blade.

Traditional clay tempering involves applying clay in varying thicknesses during heat treatment, allowing different sections of the blade to cool at different rates when quenched.

This creates differential hardening, producing a harder cutting edge while allowing the spine to retain greater resilience.

And the beautiful result?

A genuine natural hamon formed within the steel itself.

Not a printed pattern.

Not a cosmetic imitation.

A real temper line created by the heat-treatment process, bringing authentic sword-making craftsmanship to one of anime's most recognisable weapons.

It's a rather wonderful combination of Japanese sword-making tradition and completely over-the-top anime fantasy.

Of course, the blade is only half the appeal.

Tensa Zangetsu's appearance is wonderfully distinctive, and this edition captures the details that make it instantly recognisable.

The long black tsuka features traditional-style black wrapping over striking red diamond-shaped panels, creating that iconic contrast associated with Ichigo's Bankai.

The guard recreates Zangetsu's distinctive angular manji-inspired design, while the black pommel features one of the sword's most memorable details.

The chain.

Extending from the end of the handle, the black metal chain gives the weapon its unmistakable Bankai appearance, a feature that immediately separates it from an ordinary black katana.

The sword is completed by a beautifully understated black saya, with matching black sageo wrapping.

No gold dragons.

No elaborate floral decoration.

Just black steel, red accents and a chain hanging from the end.

And somehow, that's more intimidating than almost anything else in the collection.

There's something brilliant about the simplicity of Tensa Zangetsu.

In a world filled with enormous swords, impossible abilities and increasingly outrageous transformations, Ichigo's Bankai strips everything back to a single black katana.

And then makes it terrifying.

We've taken that legendary design and combined it with genuine hand-forged, clay-tempered craftsmanship to create a version worthy of a serious anime sword collection.

Hand-forged. Clay tempered. Natural hamon.

The sword of a Substitute Soul Reaper.

The power of a Bankai.

Tensa Zangetsu.

Now all you need is a black cloak, orange hair and an absolutely unreasonable amount of spiritual pressure.

This katana is a traditional, hand-forged blade inspired by Bleach, created for collectors with an appreciation for Japanese sword craftsmanship.

Forged from steel using clay tempering, it combines authentic construction with display-quality presentation.
