Description
Revolving 3-Barrel Flintlock Pistol (Brass) - France 18th Century
Three barrels, one legend – the Revolving 3-Barrel Flintlock Pistol (Brass) - France 18th Century.
A reproduction 18th-century French three-barrel flintlock, made of metal with engraved wood-effect grips and a simulated loading and firing mechanism.
Flintlock pistols worked by striking a flint against steel to throw a spark into the priming pan, igniting the powder charge. Each shot had to be reloaded by hand through the muzzle – powder, ball and wad – so in battle they were usually fired once before the owner reached for a sword.
