Every Weapon in Supernatural: The Complete Hunter's Guide

Every Weapon in Supernatural: The Complete Hunter's Guide

Most shows give their heroes a gun. Supernatural gave Sam and Dean a gun that could kill God, a knife forged in hell, blades carried in angel sleeves, and the jawbone of a donkey that belonged to the world's first murderer. The weapons in this show are not props. Each one carries its own mythology, its own rules, and its own cost. This is the complete guide to every weapon that mattered across fifteen seasons.

The Colt

Nothing in the Winchesters' arsenal comes close to the significance of the Colt. Samuel Colt made it in 1835 - a single revolver, thirteen bullets, capable of killing almost any supernatural creature on earth. The exceptions were five beings so powerful that the gun's magic could not touch them: God, Death, archangels, Eve, and the Leviathan leaders. Every other demon, monster, and entity was vulnerable to it.

The Colt first appeared in Season 1 when John Winchester tracked it down as the one weapon that could kill the Yellow-Eyed Demon, Azazel. It passed through more hands than almost any other object in the show's run - from John to Sam and Dean, to the demon Ruby who handed it over as leverage, to Crowley who acquired it as a collector's piece, and eventually back to the Winchesters when they needed it most. Its Season 12 appearance, when the brothers finally fired it at Lucifer himself and watched it fail, is one of the most effective gut-punch moments in the show's later run precisely because the audience had spent years treating the Colt as a guaranteed solution.

The frame is a Colt Single Action Army - the classic western revolver that Colt produced from 1873 onwards, the same gun that defined the American frontier. The engraved barrel and pearl grip of the show's version are immediately recognisable. Our Supernatural Colt replica is a non-firing imitation firearm built on that same SAA frame, with the show's distinctive engravings, designed for display. It is legal to own and display in the UK. Ruby's Demon Killing Blade

The demon-killing knife - known to most fans as Ruby's knife - is the weapon Sam and Dean relied on more than any other for the better part of ten seasons. It was forged from iron and inscribed with Enochian symbols, giving it the ability to kill demons outright rather than simply exorcising them back to hell. That made it extraordinarily rare and valuable in a show where exorcism was the standard response to demonic possession.

Ruby introduced it in Season 3 as a gift to the Winchesters - which, in hindsight, should have raised more questions than it did at the time. The knife survived Ruby's death, passed through Crowley's hands briefly in Season 5, and remained a fixture of the brothers' kit for years after its original owner was gone. It cannot kill angels or archangels, a limitation that became increasingly relevant as the show moved into its angel-heavy middle seasons.

We stock both the standard Ruby's Demon Blade and the Deluxe version, which has a more detailed blade finish. Both capture the curved, ornate profile of the prop used on screen.

The Angel Blade

When the angels fell at the end of Season 8 - cast out of heaven by Metatron's spell and stripped of their wings - the landscape of the show shifted permanently. Suddenly there were hundreds of angels walking the earth in stolen vessels, and the weapons that worked against demons were largely useless against them. The angel blade filled that gap.

Every angel carries one, hidden in their vessel, accessible in an instant. Slim, double-edged, and tapered to a fine point, it can kill angels and demons alike when stabbed through the chest. Castiel used his throughout the series, and the blades became as visually synonymous with angels as wings ever were. The arrival of an angel blade in a scene carried immediate weight - whoever was holding it had lethal intent.

Our Deluxe Angel Blade matches the tapered profile and metallic finish of the prop used on set. At 70cm it is a substantial display piece that captures the weapon's distinctive silhouette.

The First Blade

The jawbone of a donkey. In the Bible, Samson used one to kill a thousand Philistines. In Supernatural, it was the weapon of Cain - the world's first murderer, who in the show's mythology had become a Knight of Hell and lived in isolated retirement in rural Illinois, tending bees and trying to be left alone.

The First Blade only functions in the hands of someone bearing the Mark of Cain - the original curse placed on Cain by God after Abel's death, which the show reimagined as both a power source and a corruption. Cain passed the Mark to Dean in Season 9, and with it the ability to wield the Blade. What followed across Seasons 9 and 10 was one of the show's most sustained character arcs: Dean gradually losing control of himself, the Mark amplifying aggression and bloodlust, the Blade making it worse every time he picked it up.

It is the most unusual-looking weapon in the show's arsenal - a curved, bone-white form that looks nothing like a conventional blade, which is exactly what makes it such a striking display piece. Our First Blade replica captures that curved bone form in detail. Currently out of stock but back soon.

The Archangel Blade

The angel blade kills regular angels. The archangel blade kills archangels - and for most of the show's run, the Winchesters had no access to one. That scarcity was part of what made the archangels so threatening. Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, and Gabriel occupied a tier of power that most conventional weapons could not touch.

The archangel blade looks similar to a standard angel blade but carries a different weight in terms of what it can do. It appeared most significantly in Season 13 when Gabriel produced his own blade, and in Seasons 13 and 14 as the brothers worked to find a way to kill Michael after his possession of Dean. The key limitation - which the show used to devastating effect - is that an archangel blade can only kill an archangel if it is wielded by another archangel. A human holding one can wound but not kill.

We do not currently stock an archangel blade replica, but if that changes it will appear in the Supernatural collection first.

Bobby's Colt .45

Bobby Singer's Colt .45 is not the Colt - it is a standard single-action revolver, loaded with rounds that Bobby modified himself for hunting purposes. Salt rounds, iron rounds, silver rounds. Where the Colt was a mythological object, Bobby's .45 was a working hunter's tool, and it appeared throughout the show as a reminder that not every threat required a legendary weapon to deal with.

For collectors who want both sides of the Winchesters' firearm history on display, Bobby's Colt .45 sits alongside The Colt as a natural pairing. Same frame, different story.

Honourable Mentions

Three weapons worth naming that fall outside the main replica range. Death's Scythe - the only weapon capable of killing Death himself, used by Dean in Season 10 in one of the show's most shocking moments, subsequently revealed to have consequences nobody anticipated. The Lance of Michael - a spear forged by the archangel Michael, capable of killing angels slowly and painfully through a magical poison in the tip; Castiel was wounded by it in Season 12. The Spear of Michael - a different weapon in a later season, an object of power rather than a conventional blade. All three are significant in the show's mythology and worth knowing if you are building a complete mental map of the arsenal.
