What to consider when buying a fantasy sword replica
Material. Most metal fantasy sword replicas use either stainless steel or carbon steel. Stainless steel requires less maintenance and holds a finish well in display conditions. Carbon steel has a slightly warmer, less reflective surface and is used in higher-end replicas.
Display. Most fantasy swords come without a stand - check individual listings for what is included. A horizontal wall mount suits most straight-bladed swords. A vertical floor stand works well for longer pieces like the Master Sword or Buster Sword.
Scale. Fantasy swords are often significantly longer than their historical equivalents. The Buster Sword at 150cm is a case in point. Check dimensions carefully before ordering.
