Reproduction of a pistol, made of metal and wooden grips, with simulated mechanism of loading and firing, functional safety buttons, detachable barrel and removable magazine.
The M1911 is a robust, reliable, simple-action semi-automatic pistol operated by direct recoil and powered by 7-caliber .45 cartridge die stacker. It was designed for the military use by John M. Browning, who also designed the appropriate cartridge for the weapon, the .45 ACP.
On March 29, 1911, it was officially accepted as a statutory weapon of the US Armed Forces, initially receiving the designation of the .45, M1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol. Subsequently from 1924, its designation changed to Pistol Auto Caliber .45, M1911A1. In total, the army acquired about 2.7 million pistols during its service life.
It had widespread use in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. It remained in service continuously in the American army until 1985, when it was replaced by the Beretta gun. Some variants are still in production, and given their popularity, they are still active in some units of the Special Forces, Navy forces and Marine Corps.

Good item and pleased . The weight and feel of the gun was spot on .
the delivery was a bit hit and miss with the delivery company as I had to wait in 2 days and there was a no show . Not the fault of the seller at all and customer service was great .
I have since reordered and delivery was fine .
This is one of Denix's finest replicas in my opinion. It has the usual good looks and 'heft' of the other replicas, and the action works well. What sets it apart is that the slide lock and safety catch work rather than just being moulded, and it field strips like the original. The magazine also has a spring and platform rather than just being an empty shell. Very nice.

One of our favourites too! 😁
The extra working features really help this replica stand out from the crowd.
Thanks for the great review!
⚔️ The Sword Stall
Denix have really excelled themselves with the M1911. It has the 'heft' that is typical of Denix replicas, as is the smooth and accurate cocking and firing action. The thing that sets this above their other replicas is that the minor controls, safety catch and slide lock work as they should rather than being moulded on. Releasing the magazine reveals another pleasant surprise, it is actually sprung and has a pusher platform. The only real criticism here is that the magazine has a cutaway at the top so it doesn't cause the slide lock to operate when cocked. I can live with that.
If all of the above isn't enough to convince you that you need this replica, it also field strips like the original - beautiful!
Very nice bit of kit, well made and functions beautifully, came really quickly and great info from purchasing to delivery. Can’t recommend Swordstall enough.
I’ll share photos when I’ve managed to get the mounts on the wall, but I love my fast growing collection and they’re top notch replicas, definitely a talking point with people visiting the house and I’m getting some museum esque plaques done for underneath each showing the year, country and a bit of history behind each so it’ll be like a mini museum
Ordered and paid for it when according to advert it was in stock then get told it won't be available till march. Why advertise it in stock. Asked for refund and got it. I also sent photo of my driving licence three times. So not very good service.
Store owner replied:
Hi Martin, it's because you ordered dummy rounds for a Colt Single Action Army, not for the Colt M1911. It's a bit harsh leaving a 1* review when we've sent exactly what you ordered mate.
This made my grandfather so so happy so a massive thank you as he has less then 4 months to live and for him to hold a side arm gave him a smile which we have not seen for many years ! Again thank you 😊
its was great to see it for real, and the way it felt in your hand, felt real, but same you can't get bullets with it to, nor can you find anywhere to buy bullets from,
