The Hanwei Hand & Half Sword is a faithful interpretation of a practical 16th-century European weapon, designed to deliver exceptional versatility on the battlefield. Also known as a bastard sword, this style bridges the gap between the agility of a single-handed sword and the power of a two-handed longsword, allowing the wielder to adapt effortlessly to changing combat situations.

Crafted by Paul Chen for Hanwei, this sword features a 27.25-inch blade forged from 1566 high carbon spring steel, combining excellent durability with outstanding handling characteristics. The blade is finished in a restrained, historically authentic style rather than a modern mirror polish, closely reflecting the appearance achieved by medieval swordsmiths.

The generous 11-inch leather-wrapped grip comfortably accommodates both one- and two-handed techniques, while the sword's superb balance makes it lively, responsive and enjoyable to handle. Completing the package is a leather-covered wooden scabbard, providing both protection and an authentic presentation.
